Welcome to our site, I have been involved with Chinese cresteds
for over twenty years and pugs for over two years now. I enjoy just owning and loving these dogs but having been involved
with dogs all my life here and abroad, and have been brought up in the show world , just had to show, I also judge and occassionly
breed. My affix is now over 14 years old, pre that time I just enjoyed showing males and learning about the breed. WE
decided on Doucai as I am very much into antiques and Doucai has an interesting meaning which means to Compete For Colour,
which I found ideal for a show name as we enjoy competing . We have shown with great success here, and dogs that we
have sent abroad have also been titled, and have also proved to produce generations of successful show dogs.
I breed to type and temperament, I believe that they should be bred fit to function and to really be able
to move out our dogs all have plenty of free running and have wonderful muscletone. My dogs generally are a happy mixture
of both the old cobby and deer type producing a balanced type, though sometimes we get the odd deer and cobby type. We are
always looking to improve on our breeding and are very happy with what we have produced so far . Breeding and owning
chinese cresteds you are always learning. Each crested is very different in personality like people, we try to match puppy
and owner so both are happy. My likes in the breed are an almond eye (never round) straight tail, angulated shoulders and
rear, good skin, a good bite, erect ears and a lovely shining crest. Our powderpuffs have straight veil coats
and erect ears as well as good conformation. I have yet to breed my own pug litter but when I do I will breed to type and
standard keeping pure colours and hopefully dogs that will be an asset to the breed. We hope you enjoy our site
and pictures of our dogs,we always will offer advice if asked for. Our aim is to support and better the breeds and welfare
of the dogs is very important.
